SINJAR, IRAQ - SEPTEMBER 5: Peshmerga troops walk to their base, on September 5, 2015, in Sinjar, Iraq. THESE revealing behind-the-scenes images give a rare insight into life on the frontline in the battle against ISIS. Photographer Younes Mohammad spent three days with soldiers from the Kurdish Peshmerga at their fortified base in Sinjar, Iraq - which is subject to daily attacks from ISIS fighters. ISIS reached Sinjar in August 2014, massacring thousands of the Yazidi population before US airstrikes enabled the evacuation of an estimated 50,000 men and women from Mount Sinjar. The Peshmerga now hold only 10% of the town, but are able to use their position to identify ISIS positions to be targeted by Coalition airstrikes.
